This is a keepsake necklace which includes the cage and chain.  The cage and 18" chain are sterling silver.  This will also include two oyster openings.  You may choose natural or colored pearl oysters.  The available options are listed.  The chains are included in the package which also has a keepsake box to display your necklace when not being worn.
